Joey Sneva

Joey began training in Wado Ryu Karate with Sensei Rick Savagian in 1990 at the University of Arizona. She earned her black belt in 1995. Karate instilled many life lessons that have helped Joey throughout her life—dedication, perseverance, confidence, the rewards of hard work.

Joey earned her B.S. in Wildlife Biology at the U of A and eventually went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University in 2002. She has practiced small animal general medicine in northern Colorado for the past 17 years. 2 years ago she became certified in veterinary acupuncture and is currently trying to focus her practice exclusively on acupuncture and animal rehabilitation.

Joey lives on a small farm with her long term partner, Gary, where they care for horses, goats, peacocks, chickens, honey bees, 2 dogs and a cat.
