Alumni of the Week “Damien Ludwig”

In 1992 Damien started training at Mountainside Martial Arts under Sensei Rick. In 1997 Damien earned his first degree black belt. He graduated from Mountain Pointe High School in 1998 and is also a graduate of Arizona State University. While attending ASU Damien earned his second degree black belt. After graduating college he spent 8 years serving his country in the United States Coast Guard both as enlisted and as an officer. While he was stationed in Washington, DC as part of the US Coast Guard Honor Guard in 2007 he earned his third degree black belt. Damien has since returned to Arizona to join hi dad, Jeff Ludwig, in running Foothills Pool Care & Repair. Foothills is a local and family owned business in Ahwatukee, Arizona. Damien continues to train under Sensei Rick Savagian at Mountainside Martial Arts. Damien is married and has one daughter who is just starting to do karate herself.
