Alumni of the Week “Elliott Travis”

I am currently living in NYC working in the film industry as a Gaffer and Director of Photography. I shoot national commercials for clients along with music work for some of the top artists in the industry. Used to live in LA for a couple of years doing the same thing.

I can honestly and easily say that the black belt program, plus the years of mentorship from yourself and all sensei’s alike, have shaped me into the man I am today. It gave me a sense of confidence and self-worth far beyond my years. I attribute all of my success in life and happiness in who I am to my time training at the dojo. It has truly been the catalyst for many important aspects of how I see myself, including my mental and physical endurance. I truly thank you for pushing me during those pivotal years and seeing something in myself that did not have the ability to see then. Thank you for creating a space that fosters commitment, hard work, and honor. It is hard to say with words how much that one year has shaped me as a human. Thank you!
